Vitamin E and ß-carotene (a precursor of vitamin A) are fat-soluble vitamins which are linked closely to the fertility and health of cattle. ß-carotene improves reproduction and lactation of cattle, whereas vitamin E is essential for cattle immunity, lactation and improves milk yield when combined selenium. iCheck was used to measure the concentration of vitamin E and total carotenoids in cattle blood. The results showed good correlation to reference methods.
