At BioAnalyt, building stronger food quality systems goes beyond technology. It also means working closely with the people and organisations on the ground driving food fortification, nutrition, and public health initiatives.
As BioAnalyt’s Representative for Francophone West Africa, Beatrice ADJATTAN brings over 10 years of experience in nutrition programs, micronutrient interventions, and food fortification to support these efforts across the region. Her recent participation in the Micronutrient Forum’s 7th Global Conference in Accra, Ghana, reflects BioAnalyt’s continued engagement with stakeholders working to address micronutrient deficiencies and improve the quality of fortified foods.
A strong background in nutrition and food fortification
Beatrice holds a Master’s degree in Applied Biological Sciences, specializing in Food Science. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with international development organizations, government institutions, regional bodies, and private-sector stakeholders to strengthen nutrition programs and improve food fortification systems.
In her previous role, Beatrice helped strengthen the enabling environment for food fortification and build the capacity of more than 300 professionals from government agencies and the private sector in fortification standards and quality assurance requirements.
Today, she draws on this technical and regional experience to connect with food producers, laboratories, regulatory authorities, industry associations, and development partners, helping them explore practical approaches to micronutrient testing and food quality assurance.
Connecting with the nutrition community in Accra
In a recent highlight, Beatrice, alongside Dr. Prof. Florian Schweigert and Samet Bicer represented BioAnalyt at the Micronutrient Forum’s 7th Global Conference in Accra, Ghana. The event brought together researchers, development partners, NGOs, government representatives, and private-sector organizations working to address micronutrient deficiencies and advance nutrition outcomes.
The conference provided an opportunity to exchange insights with organizations including Helen Keller Intl, GAIN, GIZ, TechnoServe, CASCADES, CARE, and CGIAR, as well as representatives from national regulatory agencies, premix and vitamin supplement suppliers, and other stakeholders across the food and nutrition sectors.
These discussions offered valuable perspectives on ongoing initiatives, emerging needs, and opportunities for collaboration. They also provided a platform to introduce BioAnalyt’s solutions and explore how practical analytical technologies can contribute to stronger food fortification and quality assurance systems across Francophone West Africa.
Connecting with Stakeholders Across the Region
Drawing on her experience in nutrition programming, food fortification, and regional stakeholder engagement, Beatrice is helping strengthen BioAnalyt’s relationships across Francophone West Africa.
Through her work, she looks forward to engaging with food manufacturers, laboratories, government agencies, development organizations, and other stakeholders working to improve food quality and nutrition outcomes.
As BioAnalyt continues to expand its engagement in the region, Beatrice is keen to exchange insights, build meaningful partnerships, and explore how BioAnalyt’s iCheck technologies can support micronutrient testing, quality assurance, and the monitoring of fortified foods.
