BioAnalyt will be attending and participating in the Second Global Summit on Food Fortification and Micronutrient Forum this coming March. We will be showcasing our current products and services and providing you insights into our exciting new product developments. We invite you to join us at these events and look forward to meeting you!
The Second Global Summit on Food Fortification will be held March 21-23, 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand, preceding the Micronutrient Forum event. This high-level political event is being organized with the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, DSM, UNICEF, the World Food Programme, and other prominent players in the sector. The Summit is a focal point of worldwide efforts to invigorate interest, awareness, and investment in large-scale food fortification and biofortification – two population-based interventions with enormous potential to reduce and prevent micronutrient deficiencies globally.
The Summit will convene approximately 250 leaders from across the globe, including country delegations, senior global business representatives, NGOs, academia and research institutions, and donors. We will review progress made in fortification efforts since the Arusha Summit, which took place in 2015. The aim is to build consensus around the most important priorities to be addressed, so that these fortification interventions are utilized to their full potential to prevent and reduce malnutrition worldwide.
2020 will be a pivotal year for global nutrition, with Japan hosting the Nutrition for Growth Summit (N4G) in December 2020. The Fortification Summit will be a milestone moment on the road to N4G, providing an opportunity for fortification to be featured as an element of the expected Japan 2020 Nutrition Compact. We hope you will join BioAnalyt and the organizers, partners, and sponsors of this event to mobilize global action to reach billions of people with fortified staple foods. The Micronutrient Forum is looking forward to welcoming over 1000 researchers, program implementers and policy-makers from around the world to its 5th Global Conference 2020 from March 23– 27 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Micronutrients are at the heart of the potential of food systems to deliver optimal health. Food systems are at the heart of determining what people eat. The 5th Micronutrient Forum Global Conference will cover the broad spectrum of micronutrients – research, efficacy and safety, implementation and, the policy and enabling the environment. In addition, the conference will take a deep dive into how micronutrients might be optimized and protected within food systems. The Micronutrient Forum is striving to ensure greater participation from the agriculture, manufacturing, processing and distribution, retail and culinary sectors, to widen the conversation and drive multisectoral innovation towards sustainable solutions.
The Micronutrient Forum 5th Global Conference provides the opportunity for sharing new micronutrient research with a diverse audience across 4 focused tracks:
- Track 1: Micronutrient biology and status assessment.
- Track 2: Efficacy and safety of micronutrient interventions.
- Track 3: Program effectiveness.
- Track 4: Designing an enabling environment for micronutrients.
Join us and be part of critical conversations, access the latest research, build new alliances, and celebrate breakthroughs.
