6 November 2020. The Second Global Summit on Food Fortification will take place online this year, and will precede the Micronutrient Forum event. This high-level political event is being organized with the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, DSM, UNICEF, the World Food Programme, and other prominent players in the sector. The Summit is a focal point of worldwide efforts to invigorate interest, awareness, and investment in large-scale food fortification and biofortification – two population-based interventions with enormous potential to reduce and prevent micronutrient deficiencies globally.
