Technical Consultation on Regulatory Monitoring Policy Priorities for Improving Fortification Compliance

To address this specific challenge of defining a harmonized approach to fortification compliance that takes into account the reality of limited resources, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), Project Healthy Children (PHC), and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) convened a Technical Consultation Meeting from 26-27 April 2017 in London. The organizing institutions proposed priority topics and meeting facilitators refined these topics through a consultative process prior to the meeting.
The Technical Consultation brought together 35 technical experts and national program leaders with varied experience in the implementation and monitoring of national-level fortification programs.
