Strengthening African Processors of Fortified Foods SAPFF Workshops, convened by TechnoServe in partnership with BASF and BioAnalyt, will take place in Lagos and Owerri, Nigeria on 17 & 19th of September 2019. Vegetable oil fortification is one of the most cost-effective strategies to reduce vitamin A deficiency in humans – a main cause behind infant mortality, weak immune systems and night blindness with all its consequences, affecting 16 million children in Nigeria.Two regional workshops will take place for Edible Oil processors to improve their capacity to produce fortified foods in order to ensure that people receive the nutrients they need to improve their quality of life.
