Who we are.
BioAnalyt is developing, manufacturing, and marketing testing equipment for nutrition related analytes. Our easy-to-use test kits are used at the front lines of food production and processing as well as at global health programmes. The spin-off of the Institute of the University of Potsdam is privately-held and is located in the region of Berlin and Brandenburg. Ten employees are committed to further develop and market our innovative products.

Dr. Simone K. Frey. Dr. Frey studied human nutrition in Giessen, Vienna and at Columbia University with a focus on food economics and gained a doctorate from the University of Potsdam. Dr. Frey has been working for BioAnalyt since 2009. She is an active member of the European Nutrition Leadership Platform. |

Prof. Dr. Florian J. Schweigert. Prof. Schweigert is an internationally recognized scientist with more than 200 scientific publications. He has been trained at the University of Munich and at Harvard Medical School. He is the director of the Department of Nutrition at the University of Potsdam focussing on fat-soluble vitamins. Prof. Schweigert founded BioAnalyt as a spin-off in 2006. |

European feed industry acknowledges iCheck™ Eggs with a new innovation award
At the 9th international Animal Production Show in Zaragossa, Spain, the development of iCheck™ Eggs was awarded with the “Technical Innovation” prize. iCheck™ Eggs is a unique analytical system for fast quantitative determination of carotenoids in eggs.
Innov´space award 2008 for the iCheck™ Eggs product
One of the most relevant global feed Exhibitions, has awarded the iCheck™ Eggs with the INNOV’SPACE prize. The award is given to the best innovative products in different categories by SPACE, the international trade fair for livestock that is held every year in France. iCheck™ Eggs is the first portable photometer to assess carotenoids content of industrial eggs and allows an easy monitoring of the color of egg yolks and egg products.
BioAnalyt GmbH is granted the "Award for innovation" of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Potsdam
The Chamber of Industry and Commerce Potsdam awarded BioAnalyt GmbH the "Award for Innovation" on November 14th 2007 during a public event. The award honors companies contributing to the technological development of the region Berlin and Brandenburg.
BioAnalyt GmbH wins "Technology Transfer Prize” Berlin-Brandenburg
On january 29th BioAnalyt GmbH was awarded with the „Technology Transfer Prize” by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Berlin in the Ludwig-Erhard-Haus in Berlin. The award honors the development of an innovative test system for Point-of-Care determination of biomarkers.
